Biking in Laos to Tad Sang Tevada - nearby Dansavanh Nam Ngum Resort and Casino 2

Are you are Biking lover? Come and join my biking crews in Laos and experience the ride to Tad Sang Tevada – nearby Dansavanh Nam Ngum Resort and Casino. This is my new route for biking on Jul, 27th 2019.

I’m Lair and I will bring you to the Tad Sang Tevada(Elephant waterfall), a waterfall in Toulakhom district, Vientiane province nearby Dansavanh Nam Ngum Resort and Casino or Peak of Buffalo Mountain(Phou Khao Khouay in Lao.

My biking crews consist of five ladies and a man who is a leader of our team, lol (total of 6 people).

We are going to cover the distance of about 129 KM round trip. It’s quite far on a bicycle. No need to worry about the distance, we have had plan B already. If we are tired we plan to put our bikes on the car /truck and we can take a rest inside a pickup.

We all are going to start from That Luang pass by Donoun compasses and straight to 10th Street through Toulakhom district, Vientiane province. We ride slowly along the route while sightseeing at the same time.

There are beautiful Mountain Views, green farmlands, farmer way of life, a happier life along the road where we can stop by to see them.

It takes about 3 hours to arrive at Dansavanh Num Ngum Resort, where we make a stop for breakfast at a local restaurant. The foods are very delicious and prepared locally and the prices are very friendly. For example, you can spend 44,000 kip for 6 people and enjoy full breakfast. This price is unbelievable!

After food, we head to Dansavan resort, of course, we are unable to ride to the top of Dansavanh hills (Mountain), it’s about 6 km to the top of hills.

Last but not least we go to the public park to stop by and load all the bikes behind the pickup truck and go up the mountain. We reach Dansavanh and see the beautiful view of Num Ngum River, wealth mountain…etc.

Next destination, we go to Tad Sang (Elephant waterfall). This waterfall is NOT far from Dansavanh resort. It is about 3 Km by walking distance (this is a video link of the waterfall).

We decide to take a break and have lunch at a restaurant there. The menus are sticky rice, local two chickens soup, bamboo soup, Papaya Salad, Chili sauce, and grill fish.

There you find beautiful nature, wealth mountain and river look like this match with poem said (Lao is the richest country, its mean wealth nature)

The total amount for this trip for our lunch only is 250.000 Laks. This price is also a surprise for our team (6 people). It has many people on Saturday, Sunday and during public holidays.

Suggestion:
You should not go there very early morning or late afternoon. You should arrive there between 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Because accommodation may take time. You may want to stay overnight at Dansavanh Nam Ngum Resort and some guesthouses nearby the main road.

How to get to the waterfall:
You can go there by car, motorbike, and bicycle. There is no public transportation from No.10th Main road to the waterfall. But it has van or minibus from Vientiane City Bus Station to Bankeun village and then you take off to Ban Nakhanthoung . However, it is better to take your own vehicle.
