Details of Konglor Cave

Kong Lor cave is the longest cave in Laos it’s about 7.5 kilometers. The tourists can explore the cave by long-tail boat which takes about 2-3 hours for the round trip if you don’t have much time we can just stop by halfway of the cave for sightseeing because we are surrounded by huge white sands beach and wonderful stones that we spend time just 1 hour is enough for the round trip.

How to get to Konglor Cave

First, From the Vientiane capital to Konglor you can go by private car, public transport such as Van, Bus, Songtheow (Pick Up), motorbike, bicycle and walking ???? If you walk, you will take many days to arrive there.Starting From Vientiane

You should go to the southern bus station and ask at counter service that you going to Konglor Cave to buy the ticker, the ticket price about 70.000 LAK driver will stop at the Konglor area.

Starting southern bus station (link to the southern bus), Vientiane capital to Konglor go by Lak Sao Bus, the bus fee about 70.000 LAK, the route is the same way with Phou Pha Marn View (Rock Viewpoint).

The second Starting from southern (Champasack province, Pakse; Khammouane province, Thakhek district)

• Bus from Pakse to Thakhek + Bus to Kong Lor (Lak Sao) about eight hours.
• Bus Pakse to Thakhek, price about 75.000 Lak
• Thakhek to Konglor, 75.000 Lak.

How to get inside the Cave

• Here we go by boat, on a boat can only carry a maximum of three tourists (excluding 2 boatmen).
• Make sure your physical condition is appropriate for the cave trip (high humidity, darkness, difficult path, and excitement, etc)
• Please also ensure you wear appropriate shoes bring a flashlight and always wear a life vest jacket provide.
• Should you wish to visit the village on the other side of the cave (Ban Natan) or need additional information please make inquiries at the ticket counter.

Visit Duration of Konglor Cave Tour

Konglor Cave Open: 8:00 AM – 16:00 PM; 3 pax/Boat, 65,000 LAK per person

The best season to visit Konglor: Start from August to October is Raining season and it doesn’t suitable to visit because is a flooding season.

From November to July is drying season is a good time to visit.

Remark: in Laos, we have two seasons:

The rainy Season in Lao Starts from June to October.

The Drying Season starts from November to May. The heating temperature is between April to May.
